What is CBD

Introduction to CBD

CBD, also known as Cannabidiol, is a non-psychoactive cannabinoid compound found in hemp. Unlike THC, which is abundant in marijuana plants, CBD does not cause a ‘high.’

This natural product is safe for human consumption, and scientific testing has proven it can offer significant health benefits.

CBD interacts with the Endocannabinoid system inside the human body. This combined system of receptors creates the stable homeostasis that balances basic functions of the human body, such as the immune system, pain management, and inflammatory response as well as brain functions including mood and memory.

Compounds Found in Hemp

Hemp has many naturally occurring compounds, THC and CBD are the well-known elements. In order to maximise the quantity of CBD, we exclusively use the Sativa variety of Hemp which organically only has small trace amounts of THC. By using this plant variety it ensures a higher CBD yield and easier to extract and remove the THC.

The chart shows that CBD develops the majority of the beneficial properties, this, therefore, makes it attractive to the medical community.
